The Big Pine Key Adventure Tour Bus traveled to Watkins Glen, New York during the July 4th break.

639 miles, this was the longest trip attempted by the Big Pine Key Adventure Tour Bus.  The elaborate BPK Corporate offices had to work overtime to make arrangements to get the vast Big Pine Key Motorsports team and all of its equipment to the track in the comfort to which they're accustomed.  But the travel office did their usual magnificent job.

We arrived at the track refreshed and ready for a good time, and that's exactly what we did.

Watkins Glen can be configured into the NASCAR track (2.4 miles) or the Grand Prix track (3.4 miles).  We drove the Grand Prix course and it's as nice as any track we've experienced.  It rivals Road Atlanta for its elevation changes.

At a couple of places on the track it feels like you're driving in a tunnel.  The speeds get to a little over 140 in places.
